Artist Statement

Referring to the biblical description of Manna (as a source of food) and urban farming in the center of Michigan, “Agristarter” cultivates and spreads the idea of growing food in the city. By entering the sukkah step-by-step, you start becoming a farmer on your own. The pavilion engages the participator to follow the idea and be a part of the process:

First, choose the size and the color of your bag. Then put the chosen soil into your jute bag. Finally plant seeds. After watering your small achievement, you are ready to take it home and plant it in your garden.
Now it is time for you to change the world into a healthier and greener place!
