Part of the vision for our recent renovation included the creation of a coworking space. In addition to our shared workspace partners, we offer monthly coworking memberships for individuals in the community.

Interested individuals must apply for a membership and participate in an in-person interview.

Types of memberships

We currently have three types of coworking memberships:

Full-Time Individual Membership

  • Access to first floor community space

  • Includes 8 hours of conference room space per month

  • 20% discount on event rentals and additional conference room hours

  • Access to building 8am - 5pm, Monday-Friday

  • $200/month

Part-Time Individual Membership

Shared Workspace Partners

  • Reserved for community organizations

  • Includes desk on 3rd floor

  • Plans customizable for organization’s needs

  • Starting at $500/month

It is important for coworking members to be aligned with the Downtown Synagogue’s missions and values. Please make sure to read the following before completing the application.

IADS MISSION: The principal mission of the Downtown Synagogue is to serve as a beacon for the entire Jewish community of Metropolitan Detroit by maintaining an egalitarian synagogue, rooted in Jewish tradition and affirming the pluralistic practice, in downtown Detroit.
