The passing of a dear friend – Leo Raminick
The Downtown Synagogue lost long-time member and stalwart supporter of the Downtown Synagogue, Leo Raminick, last Friday night. His funeral will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, December 20th, at 2:00 p.m., at the Dorfman Funeral Chapel, 30440 West 12-Mile Road, Farmington Hills–Phone: (248)406-6000. The Dorfman Chapel, located on the North side of West 12-Mile Road a few hundred yards East of Orchard Lake Road, is easily accessible via the Orchard Lake Road exit of I-696.

In observance of AJWS’s “Global Hunger Shabbat and 18 Days of Action,” we’re calling November “Food Month.” A series of events throughout November will give you something to chew on, be it homemade sauerkraut or complicated questions about food, justice, and Judaism.
